Cadence Academic Network

The Cadence Academic Network (CAN) was launched in 2007 by Cadence. The aim is to promote the proliferation of leading-edge technologies and methodologies at universities renowned for their engineering and design excellence. A knowledge network among selected universities, research institutes, industry advisors and Cadence was established to facilitate the sharing of technology expertise in the areas of verification, design and implementation of electronic and microelectronic modules and systems. CAN significantly support and improve the universities activities.

CAN became an integral part of the CDNLive! EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) conference (now, Cadence LIVE). With the Academic Track in the frame of the conference, universities and industry members are offered a knowledge exchange platform in order to demonstrate scientific achievements, present ideas and establish further collaborations.

CAN is providing its technical information via the LinkedIn network. The groups are moderated by the lead institutions of the academic network, ensuring a constant flow of reviewed information relevant to academia. For an overview of the LinkedIn® groups’ structure, as well as guidelines on how to subscribe to the groups of your interest, visit the Cadence Academic Network on LinkedIn webpage or check out the official Cadence Academic Network Website.

University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB) has joined CAN in 2009, being currently the European Lead Institution in the field of PCB development, investigations and electronics packaging research at the board level. UPB uses Cadence tools extensively for both research and education. For more details regarding the UPB activity in the frame of CAN, please contact the UPB coordinator.
